The Third Dimension: 3D and AR are Now Live Across Every Escaping Frogs Product

When we launched Founders Edition, we wrote a line that some readers found strange: we said that life happens in a single dimension, that we play on two-dimensional screens, and that we model three-dimensional dreams.
It was not a poetic accident. It was a description of an engineering problem we had already decided to solve.

Everything we build is physical. A chassis has weight, a radiator has thickness, and a cable has a bend radius that either fits behind your desk or does not.
These are three-dimensional facts. Yet, for the history of online retail, vendors have communicated physical hardware through flat rectangles, using angles they chose, under lighting they controlled, at a scale they never truly explained.
Today, that ends across our entire catalog.
3D inspection and Augmented Reality (AR) are now live across the Escaping Frogs™ e-commerce ecosystem.

What Is Live Today
Interactive 3D Inspection: Orbit any product through a full sphere of rotation. Zoom from full-product framing down to port-level detail. There is no fixed hero angle anymore, because you choose the angle.
True-Scale AR Placement: On a supported phone or tablet, one tap moves the model out of the browser and directly into the room you are standing in, rendered at its real physical dimensions. Walk around it, crouch beneath it, or place it right beside your current desk setup.
Physically Based Rendering (PBR): Surfaces carry true material properties rather than static painted textures. Brushed aluminum reflects light differently than anodized aluminum. When you rotate a panel toward a light source and the highlight shifts naturally, that is physics, not a trick.
Zero Friction: No app, no separate account, and no external download required. It runs natively in the browser you already have open. We did not build a walled garden.
Full Bilingual Parity: Every control, label, and accessibility description exists in both English and French, served seamlessly from the same underlying component.
Graceful Degradation: If your device lacks AR support, you still get full interactive 3D. If your network connection slows down, you receive high-quality fallback imagery and an honest status explanation rather than a broken view.
Closing the "Confidence Gap"
There is a specific moment in online retail we call the confidence gap.
It arrives after a customer reads the specification sheet and concludes that the hardware is technically right. Then, right before committing their hard-earned money, a quieter question surfaces that no spec sheet can answer:
"What is it actually like?"
That gap is where hesitation lives. It is where abandoned carts come from and where unnecessary product returns are born.
Aggregate industry metrics show the clear impact of spatial visualization. Data across major e-commerce platforms indicates that products presented with 3D and AR content convert at significantly higher rates, while reducing return rates by up to 40%.
While market metrics establish the underlying mechanism, what matters most to us is transparency and honesty. A static photograph is a curated claim — someone chose the flattering angle and cropped out the rest. A fully rotatable model with no fixed viewpoint is a statement of integrity. It says: here is the entire object, including the angles we didn't select for you.
Engineered from Physical Reality
Building a credible 3D catalog is an industrial process. Every model in our store originates from authoritative CAD and dimensional geometry matching the exact physical hardware we ship to your door.
Privacy: The Camera Belongs to You
AR functionality requires camera access, and that warrants absolute clarity: The camera feed is processed locally on your device by your operating system's native AR framework. We do not receive, transmit, or store video, images, or spatial data from your environment. Permission is requested by your browser and remains fully revocable by you at any time. Declining camera access simply disables room placement while preserving full 3D inspection.
We build for scientists, engineers, developers, and security professionals — an audience capable of auditing network traffic to verify this architecture.
Built as an Infrastructure Layer
This launch is not merely about adding 3D assets to product pages. It represents the deployment of a real-time 3D delivery engine inside our proprietary e-commerce stack.
The same underlying technical layer supports our real-time configurators, immersive retail environments, interactive technical documentation, and high-performance hardware visualizations.
Operating out of Toronto's high-density tech corridor gives us a strategic edge in local execution and rapid iteration. Deploying native 3D infrastructure directly into our storefront strengthens our position against legacy retailers relying on flat static imagery.
Experience It Live

Open any product page across our store.
Click and drag to rotate; scroll or pinch to zoom.
On a mobile device, tap the 3D / AR button, grant camera access, and point at your desk or floor space.
Tip: Please verify your Wi-Fi connection prior to loading models. Certain mobile data-saving modes may temporarily reduce texture resolution or polygon density during initial load.
Escape Beyond Limits.
Life happens in three dimensions. Closing the gap between flat screens and physical hardware is not a marketing exercise — it is an engineering effort made to empower the buyer.
Rotate it. Place it in your space.
Decide with your own eyes, from your own angle, in your own light.
The store is no longer just a picture of a store.
Innovation is ours, the future is yours.
